Links: GCSE, A-level, 14-19 Diplomas, Apprenticeships.
People are at the heart of The Royal Court Theatre, the audiences, the actors and the people behind the scenes that make the performance possible. The company places a strong ethos behind nurturing local talent and celebrating the vast array of talented industry professionals across Merseyside.
Throughout 2010 we will offer workshops, suitable for students at KS4 studying GCSE’s or A-level drama or performing arts. The programme will also be relevant to students studying the new Creative Media Diploma. These workshops will give young people an insight into the different aspects of a producing theatre through interactive and practical based workshops. Students will learn about the different roles and responsibilities of key staff members including: Casting director, scriptwriter, producer, stage manager and marketing and promotions.
Choose from a one off workshop in a specific topic to a series of 6-workshops delivered over half a term to explore the spectrum of roles.
